The FAIR package

What ASdrawn fills, and what stays yours.

ASdrawn exports an AS9102 Rev C FAIR workbook (Forms 1, 2 and 3 in one Excel file), the drawing with every balloon burned in, and a Net-Inspect Form 3. Below, field by field, is what it reads from the drawing and what your organisation completes. Planning the FAI, measuring the part, verifying every characteristic and signing the report stay with you.

These are the files ASdrawn exports for its demo run after our review corrections: drawing AD-1004, actuator gear housing, a synthetic part we drew ourselves, so no customer data is in them. It is the same run the live demo opens. Results and sign-off are blank because no part was measured. No email, no sign-up.

This is a reviewed package, not raw AI output. Before exporting it we corrected, as your reviewer would: instance counts, linked groups, boxed basic dimensions, one thread depth, one misread symbol, balloon placement.

Form 3 in the sample has 130 rows, more than the drawing has balloons: a balloon that covers several requirements, or a feature repeated in several places, gets a row for each.

Form 1 — Part number accountability

The title block fills the part and drawing identity. Everything about this FAI, this order and its sign-off is yours: fill it in the editor before you export, or in the workbook afterwards.

Form 2 — Product accountability

Materials, special processes and functional tests called out in the drawing notes become rows. Suppliers, approvals and certificates come from your records.

Partial FAI

Form 1 carries Full or Partial FAI (field 14), the baseline part number and the reason for a partial FAI; you set them. Revision compare overlays two revisions of a drawing, carries your balloon numbering across and flags characteristics that don’t match, which helps you decide what a partial FAI must cover. The decision, and which rows go in the report, stay yours.
