From drawing to FAIR.
In minutes, not days.

ASdrawn reads your engineering drawing and balloons every characteristic — dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, notes — into an AS9102 Rev C FAIR review workbook with a fully annotated PDF. You review, adjust, and sign.

How it works

Don’t watch a demo. Use it.

Below is the real ASdrawn editor loaded with a completed run — pan the drawing, click balloons, open the characteristic list. It runs entirely in your browser: nothing to install, no account needed.

01 — Read

The drawing goes in.

Upload the PDF. ASdrawn reads views, title block, notes, and dimensions — GD&T included.

02 — Detect

Characteristics found.

Dimensions, tolerances, holes, surface callouts — detected and classified. Ambiguities are flagged, not guessed.

03 — Balloon

Balloons snap on.

Numbered, ordered, traceable. The annotated drawing your inspector works from.

04 — Deliver

Form 3 fills itself.

What you get

Built for the people who sign the FAIR.

Every characteristic type. Covered.

Reads the whole drawing — GD&T included

Feature control frames, datums, threads, chamfers, surface finish, flag notes, title-block metadata. Multi-sheet drawings, revision-aware.

  • 16 characteristic types
  • Multi-sheet PDFs
  • Title block + notes parsing

Numbered. Ordered. Traceable.

Auto-ballooning your inspector can trust

Balloons are placed, numbered, and linked to their characteristics. Renumber, move, add, or delete — the workbook follows every edit.

  • Annotated PDF export
  • Balloon ↔ row traceability
  • Manual override on everything

You stay in control.

Human-in-the-loop review

ASdrawn drafts; your quality engineer decides. Side-by-side editor shows the drawing, the characteristic list, and the source callout for every row.

  • Full editing workflow
  • Lock + sign-off states
  • Nothing ships unreviewed

The deliverable, delivered.

Forms 1, 2 and 3 in Excel, populated from the drawing and your part data — plus the ballooned PDF that goes in the FAIR package.

  • Form 1 / 2 / 3
  • Excel + annotated PDF
  • Rev C form layout

Rev B lands. Nothing breaks.

Revision compare built in

Overlay two revisions of a drawing — colour-matched balloons, match lines between the same feature on each print, unmatched characteristics flagged for review. Carry your numbering onto the new revision instead of re-ballooning from scratch.

  • Visual overlay + match lines
  • Matched / unmatched review
  • Numbering carried across

Portal-ready output.

Net-Inspect-compatible Form 3

Export Form 3 as Excel matched to Net-Inspect's documented import — or fill the blank template downloaded from your own Net-Inspect account, so the file arrives in the layout the portal expects.

Compliance & data handling

Built to survive an audit.

Built around AS9102 Rev C

Produces FAIR review workbooks in the Rev C Form 1/2/3 layout, designed for characteristic accountability workflows.

Your drawings stay yours

Never used to train models, never stored on our servers. During analysis, regions of the drawing are processed transiently in memory; only the extracted results are saved to your account. Your workspace chooses the region where AI inference and OCR run.

Traceability by construction

Every workbook row links to a balloon; every balloon links to its callout on the drawing. Auditors can walk the chain.

Review-first workflow

AI drafts the accountability package; your quality engineer reviews, adjusts, and approves it in the editor before it ships.

Exactly how drawings are handled — processing, storage, deletion — is spelled out in our privacy policy.

Who it’s for

Anyone with a FAIR due this week.

Quality engineers

Stop transcribing callouts into spreadsheets. Start from a drafted workbook and spend your time on judgment calls.

Suppliers responding to primes

Turn a customer FAI demand around in an afternoon — workbook, ballooned print, done.

Inspection teams

Work from a numbered, annotated print where every balloon matches the report in your hand.

FAI reviewers

Walk row → balloon → callout in seconds when something looks off. The chain is always intact.

FAQ

The questions you should ask.

How accurate is the extraction?

Accuracy varies with drawing quality and density; that's why the workflow is review-first. The editor shows every extracted characteristic beside its source callout, built so your reviewer verifies each one in context before anything ships.

What happens on ambiguous callouts?

They're flagged, not silently guessed. Ambiguities surface in the review list; your engineer resolves them with the drawing in view.

Is my drawing data used to train models?

No. Your drawings are processed transiently during analysis and never stored on our servers — only the extracted results are saved to your account. They are never used for training. The one exception is opt-in: if you choose to share a drawing with support to debug an issue, we keep it only for the life of that ticket.

We handle export-controlled data. Can we use this?

Talk to us before uploading anything export-controlled. We'll walk you through exactly where data is processed and stored so your compliance owner can make the call.

What does the auditor actually see?

A standard AS9102 Rev C workbook and a ballooned drawing — indistinguishable in form from a hand-built package, except every row traces cleanly to its balloon.

Do I need CAD files?

No. ASdrawn works from the drawing PDF — the artifact you already have contractual obligations against.
