What are the three AS9102 forms?
Form 1 — Part Number Accountability identifies the part the FAI covers: part number, name, serial number, drawing number and revision, and whether the report is a full or partial FAI, along with the sign-off fields.
Form 2 — Product Accountability records the materials, special processes, and functional testing the part requires, with the specification and certification reference for each — the sheet an auditor reads against your certs.
Form 3 — Characteristic Accountability is the ballooned characteristic list: each design characteristic gets a characteristic number, its requirement as drawn, and the measured result, so every dimension on the drawing is accounted for.
How do I fill in Form 3?
Balloon the drawing first: number every design characteristic on the print, then enter one row per characteristic with the same number in the Char. No. column. The Requirement column carries the specification exactly as drawn — nominal, tolerance, GD&T callout, or note text — and Results carries the actual measured value, not just “pass”. The template ships with 25 blank rows; insert more as needed.
